masterclasses

Although expert knowledge holders in their own right, our Elders will humbly remind us that the Land is our first teacher. All we have come to know about life, has been by way of observation and there is so much that the Land has taught and continues to teach us.

With professional and academic backgrounds in traditional Dene medicines, wellness, agile project management, business and mental health, join your instructors, Carl Jr and Tiffany in a series of mini masterclasses where they will showcase knowledge of and from the Land to answer some of today's biggest questions.

Rewild Your Workflow: Aligning Lunar Cycles to Project Planning

Healing Addictions Through the Land: An Indigenous Attachment Theory

Healing Addictions Through the Land: An Indigenous Attachment Theory

For millennia, our ancestors looked to the sky and the soil for instructions on how to live and work in balance. At Ever Good Medicine, we believe that it is time for this sacred flow to re-emerge. Projects are often not built to heal, but they could be! With a combined 20 years experience in business and project management, Carl Jr and Tiffany developed the rewilded project management mindset. This approach is rooted in both traditional Land-based knowledge and industry best practices to help your team choose the tools and ceremonies to run a project that is both regenerative to you and to the Land. On May 26th, join us for this month's topic of the Rewild Your Workflow series, where you will learn how to align your project planning to the lunar cycles and why this practice is important. If you are interested in learning more about options for in-person training for your organization, email us for more information info@evergoodmedicine.com

Healing Addictions Through the Land: An Indigenous Attachment Theory

Healing Addictions Through the Land: An Indigenous Attachment Theory

Healing Addictions Through the Land: An Indigenous Attachment Theory

Dr. Gabor Mate says that "The opposite of addiction is not sobriety. The opposite of addiction is connection." It is tempting, from a Western perspective, to say that understanding a person's attachment style and strengthening relationships to other humans is the key to connection. Attachment theory, however, is predicated on the assumption that children learn their attachment styles in a nuclear family setting. What if you come from a culture whose kinship extends beyond a mother and father to aunties, uncles, grandparents and even plants, animals and rocks? How then, would the Land, Water and Sky play an integral role in addiction recovery? An important workshop for anyone working with Indigenous clients experiencing addictions, Carl Jr and Tiffany will walk you through how to coach your clients to reposition their thinking on addiction, provide a framework for traditional wellness concepts and equip you with practical Land-based wellness activities for deepening connections to the Land.

Finding the Middle Path: A New Conversation on Cannabis

Healing Addictions Through the Land: An Indigenous Attachment Theory

Finding the Middle Path: A New Conversation on Cannabis

Medicinal-Recreational-Pro-Against. Our current conversation on cannabis is extremely binary and polarizing. What if there was a way to deliver cannabis education that re-envisions Canadian's relationship with the plant? This workshop proposes a third option to discuss cannabis that seeks to both understand and respect it as a plant, while also recognizing that just because something is 'natural' does not automatically imply that it is safe or beneficial for everyone. Participants will be asked to reflect on the following; What does the term 'medicinal plant use' mean? Is there actually a difference between medicinal and recreational cannabis in the current Canadian market? and, What are the short and long term effects of cannabis use across demographics? Reach out today to reserve your spot in an upcoming offering or book a group session.

In Our Healing Era: Ending the Stigma of Psychosis

The Mushroom-preneur: How Mushrooms Model Ethical Business Practices

Finding the Middle Path: A New Conversation on Cannabis

Did you know that people living with schizophrenia in North America experience much worse outcomes than their counterparts around the world? The main reasons for this continues to be stigma, misinformation and a monophasic worldview. On a quest to better understand her relatives living with schizophrenia, Tiffany graduated with her Masters in Psychiatry from McGill University in 2023. This masterclass will walk you through commonly held beliefs regarding schizophrenia and psychosis, how it is experienced across the world, guided group conversations and tips for how to build more inclusivity across our society for schizophrenia and psychosis. In addition, Carl Jr. will walk you through traditional Indigenous protocols for mental health and how traditional healing and wellness models can act as a meaningful therapeutic intervention. The Mushroom-preneur: How Mushrooms Model Ethical Business Practices

When launching his first business, Carl Jr was bent on creating an ethical, community centered enterprise. Fascinated by the role that mycelia plays in the organization and networking of the forest, he asked; "How would I launch my business if I were a mushroom?" He then made an action plan detailing the incredible attributes of mycelia and how he would translate that into his day to day operations. This course documents his experiments, trials and successes with this method. Participants will receive a playbook with tips to implement healthy practices in their start ups right from the beginning. So, if you are interested in what mushrooms can teach you about ethically-minded business practices, reserve your spot in an upcoming offering or book a group session.
