Let me introduce myself. My name is Carl Jr. Kodakin-Yakeleya. I am Shutagot'ine (Mountain People) from the communities of Tulita and Deline First Nations located in the Sahtu Region of the Northwest Territories, Canada. I grew up living in many towns across the Northwest Territories and spending extended periods of time in the bush with my father and siblings. Now, as a father to 3 children of my own, I want to pass on the teachings that have protected these Lands for millennia. In this time of rapid climate change, we at Ever Good Medicine believe in the power of healing through traditional values of connection to the Land, respect and preparation of medicines and sharing what we know and have.
We provide knowledge, programs and products based on traditional Indigenous medicines and natural healing that relies on the teachings from the Land and the body-mind-spirit connection.
We care about your overall well being and will provide you with the guidance, knowledge, and tools needed to be healthy. Let us help you achieve optimal wellness!
Knowledge of traditional Indigenous medicines in many communities is not as accessible as before. Ever Good Medicine offers My Medicine Walk, a set of On-the-Land programs, that connects Indigenous youth with Elders to learn how to harvest and prepare traditional medicines.
Indigenous medicinal harvesting practices require knowledge of how to respect the Land. Ever Good Medicine provides a variety of masterclasses delivered by Indigenous knowledge keepers on the values of how to respectfully harvest and prepare traditional medicines
The process of harvesting medicines happens even before you go out on the Land. Ever Good Medicine provides a variety of traditionally made tools and harvesting materials to ensure you're ready for any situation. Visit the shop today to see our ever expanding inventory.
Ever Good Medicine believes that this healing journey is a shared one. As per our teachings, we cannot sell medicines as they are freely given to us by the Land. You can support My Medicine Walk programming though, by purchasing sponsored products found in our shop.
